The Xaja machine is full featured PHP Reverse Ajax framework.
It enables the developer to escape the request/response model, and reverses the way you think about your web-application. Furthermore, the developer can push the data from the browser to the client easily.
Xaja is currently under heavy development, but is already usable. You can download it from our Subversion repository. Download instructions are provided in the documentation section of this web site. Want to learn more about Xaja without having to install it? You can download the screencast.
Xaja was presented at The Ajax Experience, the main Ajax conference for web developers and designers that was held in San Francisco, July 25-27. You can access the slide presented at The Ajax Experience here.
We are eager to get some feedback about Xaja. You can use the forums to ask questions and the tracking system to report bugs. You will need an account on The Coding Machine to do so. You can get one by clicking the "New Account" tab. Also, if you run into trouble while posting messages, you can directly contact Xaja's project manager at d(dot)negrier {at} thecodingmachine(dot)com.

2008-01-29: Xaja 0.9 released
After the first release 8 months ago, and without a release in between, here comes Xaja 0.9. A huge work has been done meanwhile. Xaja now supports Opera and Safari, provides a bunch of ExtJS widgets, and is production ready with a countless number of bug fixes. We will work hard to provide more ExtJS integration, an easier installer, and we will wait for some feedback about its stability before releasing Xaja 1.0. Meanwhile, you can download this major version in the download page, as usual. |
